the second city.

20 July, 2007

i’ll be visiting nathan and some friends in chicago this weekend, so if you see someone wearing one of our shirts say hi–it’s probably us. or at least there’s a good chance.

new designs coming soon! within the next week, most likely. details at 11….

5.00 for 500

10 July, 2007

well, that was fast–we’re already closing in on 500 customers. to thank you guys for poking around here, the lucky 500th will get a code for $5 off any shirt. but since i’m in a good mood, if you can guess who i’m going to see this weekend you’ll also get $5 off. hints:
* they’re playing near me.
* they’re sort of unathletic.
* they love cinnamon and aluminum siding?

that’s all you get. comment with your answer–first correct wins. good luck, guys.

what the hell, tnt.

so i’m watching a law & order rerun and see a little teaser ad for some show called ‘the company.’ and they jacked our logo! the order is reversed (‘company’ forms the negative space), but they straight up stole our logo. good thing the show’s going to tank because it’s a tnt original.

paul allen is yelling at us from his mansion.

well, it turns out that our website looks like absolute dog shit on internet explorer. it looks like a crossword by a dyslexic six-year-old. so, uh, apologies to the 30% of you ie-hards who’ve been to the site so far. if it makes you feel better, it looks really good on firefox and safari.

unrelatedly, i still haven’t seen live free or die hard yet, but that still needs to happen.

so the ordering system wouldn’t let orders go through yesterday. our code was messed up. launching this website has been a bit like having a baby, except this baby is fully-formed and we don’t have to deal with poop.

anyway, the ordering system’s working now, so it’ll go through if you place the order again.

oh hey guys.

4 July, 2007

welcome to bluescrn apparel. i can’t even tell you how excited nathan and i are about this. not to get all oscar-moment on you guys, but this has been one of the more fun projects we’ve done in a long time, and we do want to thank our newest designer, bill ferenc and our long-suffering webmaster, steve.

one quick note: the wire on the conflict diamond shirt is undergoing a redesign, so if you were planning on ordering one, wait just a couple days and watch this space…
